Bonn. (bzfe) Die App Too Good To Go bringt Gastronomen und Lebensmittelretter zusammen. Mittels der integrierten Ortung finden Konsumenten Cafés, Bäckereien, Hotels oder Restaurants in ihrer Nähe, bei denen üblicherweise Essen übrig bleibt. Kurz vor Ladenschluss oder nachdem das Frühstücksbuffet geschlossen wurde, können sie in einem definierten Zeitfenster vorzugsweise in der eigenen Frischhaltebox ihre per App reservierte Portion abholen. Das gerettete Essen ist mindestens 50 Prozent günstiger als im normalen Verkauf. Bezahlt wird über die App, weiß das BZfE Bundeszentrum für Ernährung aus Bonn.
